Building Bridges
Connecting the space ecosystem
In an era of rapid transformation in space exploration, science, and technology, we cannot afford to work in silos. The importance of interdisciplinary conversations has never been greater:
Space science has direct and tangible impacts for life on Earth.
The worlds of commercial space and academic research are increasingly entwined, driven together by both opportunity and necessity.
Astronomy and planetary science are becoming more interlinked, especially through exoplanet research.
Satellite constellations designed for global connectivity are creating new challenges for dark skies and astronomical observations.
Yet different stakeholders often speak past each other and as new paths emerge for space science, we must bridge these worlds intentionally.
That’s why I’m launching Bridging Orbits: a monthly series exploring the intersection of different space sectors, drawing from my experience across agency, industry, and academia. I hope to foster constructive conversations that translate perspectives and spark collaborations for advancing space science.
Join me in building bridges.
